Today, the middle class is angry. They are angry because of the repeated stressors they face in their life. Today, the middle class has to bear high cost of living, taxes that are a burden, complete apathy from public servants, no justice and a feeling that they are all alone

In this video, we talk about some pressing concerns that the middle class of India has in the hopes that the Government will listen. These are concerns that need to be addressed immediately so that the majority hard working population of this country gets a chance to live a dignified life.

1. Income tax - 30%

2. Property tax on owned property - Approx 18K

3. GST on everything

4. Taxes on FD, RD, Mutual Funds, savings account. (Part of #1)

And what I get in return? No quality medical assistance, No quality education.

In the European countries, people pay taxes but they get great quality of benefits and that's the reason Indians want to settle in those countries.

In India, political parties pay 0 taxes. Farmers pay 0 taxes. Businessmen find out loopholes to get rid of taxes. Actors pay 0 taxes

Government is aware of everything but it does not take any measures. Nobody will listen a normal middle class tax payers

I live in 4th largest city of Jharkhand. I pay my taxes, my father paid his taxes his whole life, my grandfather paid his taxes, but still to this day we do not get basic things like 24hr electricity, quality medical care (no good hospital in the city), etc. We are slaves and tax is a burden.

The saddest and the funniest part at the same time is

Government thinks the health insurance premium is luxury and charges 18% GST.

Middle class pays 30% income tax and after that has to pay 5% GST on new property and then 8-10% registry charge on the same property.

The middle class will always suffer in this country, the harsh reality of so called largest growing economy.

But when my phone got snatched from me in the night Delhi, the police person that came to the location after reporting asked me by abusing ki BC tu raat 11:30 baje bahar kar kya raha tha. My father came by the time and heard this and then gave him an earful that ki teri vardi utarva dunga then hi said sorry.

In this country if you don't show or appear that you are rich and powerful, they treat you like shit. I was wearing a Tshirt and shorts so... got this treatment from police officer.

I studied in a government school, so i had this feeling to give back my nation, thus i stayed here instead of going to US despite having H1B.

Biggest mistake of my life was thinking that i can make a dent and make this country a better place.

Now i have realised that i need to move to a better country. This country is not for honest people.

The streets are full of beggers, theives and corruption law enforcement folks.

One of my friend passed away last week in a road accident, since then I've been observing my surrounding and realised most of the roads are prone to accidents and are badly maintained. We play with our deaths everyday, I live in Bengaluru and we have crores of people using this high risk infrastructure.

I pay 30% of Tax and still don't feel safe in this country.

Scared of Police, no hopes of justice from judiciary, non reliable hospitals.

Have really started giving up on our nation and planning to leave the country.

Imagine you are paying 30-35% income tax and you get potholes, dirty/smelly and unclean public places, polluted air, irregular water/electricity, incompetent and arrogant public servants etc. A person wont mind paying high taxes if hes getting quality infra and facilities in return. This is like charging 5-star hotel price for a roadside vada paav. Also this is not unique to this govt. every govt. that came before has done the same thing, it has become a culture now. This is why A lot of high income Indians are leaving India. A lot of them still love India but they know that things are not going to change drastically in their lifetime and hence they decide to leave.

想象一下，你缴纳了30-35%的所得税，而你得到的却是坑坑洼洼、肮脏/难闻和不干净的公共场所、污染严重的空气、不稳定的水电供应、无能且傲慢的公务员等等。

如果一个人能得到高质量的基础设施和服务作为回报，他不会介意缴纳高税收。

这就像向路边摊收取五星级酒店的价格一样。这也不是本届政府独有的，历届政府都做过同样的事情，现在已经成为一种文化。

这就是为什么很多高收入群体离开印度的原因。

他们中的许多人仍然热爱印度，但他们知道，在他们有生之年，情况不会发生多大的变化，因此他们决定离开。

So many capable lawyers and activists are present in the country who fight against many odds in this country. For example, fight for Ram Mandir, Petition against abrogation of Article 370, electoral bonds etc. but I wonder why none of these activists feel that this tax matter is also an important issue!!! Why don't they file a case for this matter against the govt. in the Supreme Court so that reforms can be made in this area and common taxpayers can get relief?? They should do this, who has the power to do so.

Paying taxes feels painful. Paying taxes and getting no facilities in return feels like a slave. Paying taxes, getting nothing in return, and then treated like a criminal by government officers feels like a subhuman beast in some dystopian future where death will be better than life.
