All eyes are on India's foreign minister S Jaishankar as he is set to attend the QUAD Foreign Ministers' meeting in Tokyo from July 28-30. There are many reasons why Indians have such a deep mistrust of the USA. After having supported Pakistan for 50+ years, and after having chosen China over India for economic development and trade, the US has some gall to think that just because it now wants friendship with India, India will abandon all her friends who had her back for so many years and jump into the USA's arms. The US has to first prove its friendship credentials. Not once or twice, but over a couple of decades. Not supporting Khalistanis and the implied balkanization of India would be a good start.
