NEW DELHI: By 2036, India's population is expected to reach 152.2 crore, with a slightly improved female percentage of 48.8% as compared to 48.5% in 2011, a report published by the ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MoSPI) showed on Monday.

The report - 'Women and Men in India 2023' - projects that the proportion of individuals under 15 years of age will decrease from 2011 to 2036, likely due to declining fertility rates.

新德里：统计和计划执行部周一发布的一份报告显示，到2036年，印度人口预计将达到15.22亿，女性比例从2011年的48.5%略有提高至48.8%。

This is no good news..! It means more misery for the country. With economic imbalance between urban and rural population increasing, we will soon see more and more unchecked migration of rural populace in cities, which actually is happening anyways.
