China wants its own brandy production and the overcapacity of EU brandy is a serious problem.

Sounds familar?  China just uses EU logic to retaliate on EU tariff.

And China has brought EU tariff on China EV case to WTO.

More actions from China will be taken if no negotiation agreement on EV tariff can be made by end of Oct.

Fun fact: When China is making jeans and shoes  no one ever said “the government subsidies the manufacturers to a degree which is violating international trade rules” back then there were huge tax benefits for the manufacturers on exporting.

Almost all exports are result of surplus production a country has which means overcapacity. If there is a shortage, they will result in impoorts. The US has surplus agricultural production (overcapacity).
