The German embassy in China has once again attracted public attention after posting its "support for Israel" on Weibo, telling Chinese netizens that "the security of the state of Israel is paramount for Germany."

With many describing the embassy as a "hypocrite and double-standard," most comments are inquiring about the stance of the German embassy regarding the plight of the Gazan people.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't your embassy be responsible for promoting friendly relations between China and Germany? All I can see is that you have patronizing attitudes about the Chinese. We're not interested in your state policy of supporting Israel," one Chinese netizen wrote on Weibo.

"We have also been victims of invasions and wars, and we understand what it is like to lose our homeland and family. The whole world is watching, and you only speak for yourself," added another Weibo user.
