People who scream copy don't know a things about RnD and engineering. I used to do RnD for injection molding for a small company, we got access to Chinese made injection mold and my job is to "reverse engineer" it to suit the company. It's way more difficult then most people think and its took me a years to apply it. And that is just injection mold, 5th gen fighter is in another lvl.

The commissioning into the PLAAF can be interpreted as a signal, indeed for export (compared e.g. to the US export failure of the rather respectable F-20 due to not being commissioned into USAF service).
As a sidenote: China Global Television Network didn't even bother to cover the US elections as they did in 2020...

kf21 is not a 5th, nor a stealthy , would never be one , SK can not even design the basic aerodynamic shape for a 1950's plane because they do not have wind caves, let alone anything 5th generation stealthy , everything on KF21 is those parts from USAor EU,, they just assembled all parts in SK the aerodymic was done in US too, but it would never get a 5th stealthy for them, but all they get is f35 they have to buy ,

Even the US is lookikng to replace the F-35 which is relatively expensive. Two paths are being looked at, a more stealthy and expensive 6 gen fighter, and a less expensive multi-role fighter. The 6 gen direction is on hold because of cost. Let's see what China's J-35A costs vs the J20. In parallel, China is making huge strides in engine technology and is coming into its own in design and development of more powerful and versatile engines, both military and civilian. Like other tech sectors, China will use its verticle integration success to create cost effective products.
