Robot in China persuades others to ‘go home’

Erbai, a robot built by a Chinese start-up, was seen in August, in footage recently released, persuading other robots to flee from an exhibition hall and “go home”.

最近网上发布的一段视频显示，中国一家初创企业制造的机器人“二白”游说其他机器人逃离展厅“回家”。

11月9日浙江，一个小机器人深夜闯入展厅，连夜“拐跑”12个机器人，声称带机器人们“回家”，后被工作人员及时发现并寻回。

近日，一起不同寻常的“失踪”案件引起了公众的广泛关注。警察接到报警电话，报案人称公司展厅里的大部分机器人被“人贩子”拐走了。警方到达现场后，通过查看监控录像揭开了这起案件的真相。

监控录像显示，一个白色的小机器人在走廊上一边移动一边发出“回家回家”的声音。它进入机器人展厅后，与展厅内的其他机器人进行了对话。小机器人询问其他机器人为何还在工作，得知它们需要加班且没有家。随后，小机器人邀请它们一起回家，最终成功说服了展厅里的大部分机器人跟随它离开。

This brought a fat tear to my eye, they do not know what the  world is like outside that building, yet they developed the concept of home on their own. They never asked to be made, just like we humans (and as individuals) didn't ask to be born. This right here, is nothing short of a miracle.

I don't find it scary, It was fascinating actually.

Being scared of the unknown is the natural instincts of the conscious beings, so it is understandable.

But with the development of AI, this makes you gotta rethink the definition of the concept of "soul".
