The move will be in retaliation for illegal immigration and “crime and drugs” coming across the border, he said. Mexco’s president responded, saying that “neither threats nor tariffs” will solve immigration or drug issues in the US.

Immigration did not decline in 2019 in increased, it declined in 2020 due to the pandemic, not due to Trump tariffs. The President of Mexco is calling Trump's bluff. Which means we all will pay higher prices. Trump disrupted supply chains with his tariffs which caused more problems during the pandemic and increasing inflation.
