@RonaldPanorama I am still running Galaxy a52s, quite efficient battery still after 3 years and in single core, is almost on par with this mate 70, so called 'flagship' and it runs on open source OS not closed source Operating System ( which again is just another cheap closed-source copy of Android )

@SamJonny-gc5rm 9020 is reportedly improved 7nm or low-yield 6nm processor.

Midrange like Galaxy A55 has 4nm processor. Huawei compensates by adding more cores ( which while improving multicore performance will not be as efficient and run hot , single core is what matters for vast majority of apps)

Processor is one of the most important aspect that determines the smartphone level.

And unless, ASML is allowed by US to supply EUVs , Huawei is stuck on the low yield processor for years to come while the competition will upgrade to 2nm even early as next year. The low yield of processor ( reportedly about 30% ) increased chip cost and that may explain why Huawei priced this midrange processor specced phone like a flagship , apart from greed ( seems they are obsessed about becoming like Apple, and even copy the pricing strategy )
