China's top electric vehicle producer BYD has shown further market share gains, putting it on course to exceed its annual goal. BYD is now on course to beat its annual sales target of 4 million vehicles, more than Japan's Honda and Detroit-based Ford in 2024 worldwide sales. Private-sector data by Tokyo Shoko Research showed Japan's bankruptcy filings this year are set to surpass 10,000 and hit the highest since 2013. I just find Hyundai and Kia vehicles way over styled. Kia not as bad, but Hyundais are "out there". I also wish they would just put a little more quality into their vehicles instead of plastic fantastic under the hood. So many parts that are designed for 8 year throw-away never to be replaced.

that wont happen, here in Arab countries chinese cars have taken over and decimated US, Euro and Japanese cars, what happened was even as chinese cars WERE the cheaper option, they got pricier as specs improved, and the dealerships for American car also started pushing chinese cars too.... and get this, the best selling American branded cars are the ford taurus and ford territory... both of which are built in China.

The problem is that is very hard to put down a fire caused by an EV. When this EV is parked in an underground parking surrounded by 100s of cars this one EV can damage at least 50-100 other cars. Imagine the pollution this causes. Id ban EVs from parking underground.
