India’s first Hyperloop test track is ready! Indian Railways along with IIT Madras has achieved a notable advancement in transport technology with the completion of India’s first 410-metre Hyperloop test track. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced this achievement on Thursday, sharing a video of the test track. The Mumbai-Pune corridor is expected to be the first full-scale Hyperloop project in India. The railway system aims to reduce travel time between the two cities to just 25 minutes. Despite the progress, the project is still in its developmental stages.

They should run it from Bangalore airport to the city instead... not a huge distance, financially able and solves a major problem too. Eventually it can run between such airport like Dholera to Ahmedabad , Jewar to Delhi, NMIA to CSMIA and Bhogapuram to Vizag city. We can also focus on just maglevs as a parallel to this for shorter distances like i mentioned as that is relatively more proven technology.

Hyperloop one, Virgin Hyperloop both companies failed and were closed. And these guys are wasting resources on these vanity projects that have no future. Meanwhile out country doesn't know how to build high speed railway tracks, japanese enginees are coming here to train our engineers. We don't know how to build drainage system and footpaths in tier 1 cities or how to lay underground electric lines properly, the priorities are misguided.

Great achievement but at this point of time, I really doubt about actual implementation of hyperloop carrying passengers anywhere. At least not in next 50 years but one can never predict how technology evolves.
China & Japan have bullet speed trains and they haven't considered this technology at all. That should tell us something.
