I'm African and I'm totally against the idea of China taking more African immigrants. The engagement we as Africans need with China is investment in infrastructure, technology and industry in the African continent. This should be coupled with training and technology transfer to upskill the labour force here in Africa. The immigration policy will not benefit Africa in any way shape or form because African immigrants have an unfortunate tendency of staying permanently in their host country and that is not what Africa needs right now. We have suffered enough brain drain during the last few decades from educated and skilled Africans who left for Europe and America for opportunities but ended up becoming permanent citizens of those countries.

Africa needs its people to develop the continent. We need to stablize the political system in Africa and eliminate tribalism and ethnic conflict. China has more than enough people to develop the country for a long time to come. Africans need to build infrastructures on the continent .
