70岁老头猥亵7岁女孩而被拘留
MUMBAI: A 70-year-old paan vendor was arrested on Tuesday on charges of molesting a seven-year-old schoolgirl. The incident took place on the terrace of a building in Malad where the girl stays with her family. The accused, Siddhanand Chaurasia, who has been living in Mumbai for the past 35 years, does not have a history of crime.
The incident was reported around 6pm on Tuesday when the girl was playing on the terrace. Chaurasia, who has a shop near the building, used to saunter on to the terrace every afternoon for a siesta. He allegedly molested the girl on the terrace after which she complained to her mother.
An official from Malad police station said Chaurasia will be in police custody till October 14.
