I live here in Silicon Valley, and personally know of a lot of Chinese start-up companies - at least in biotech. I'm not sure that there are fewer of them than Indian startups. Do you have statistics? By no means do I want to rag on the Indians either. They're starting companies too.

I would say unequivocally yes, in tech companies. I have seen countless startup companies with Chinese and Indians working long and hard together and building successful companies. BTW add to the mix caucasians and Europeans and people from the Middle East and all ethnicities. My opinion why so many disparate people work together well in Silicon Valley is that often the culture is a meritocracy where the best ideas and best work gets rewarded, not the ethnicity of the individual bringing the idea or doing the work. Of course old-fashioned politics normally becomes more of a problem the more successful the company becomes. But in a small startup, such politics will kill the company and largely is avoided.

Yes they usually do. However, it is mostly in tech companies. I can say that with my personal experience. My son worked for a company that had equal number of Indians & Chinese. My son had Chinese friends who even took him to their homes in China
