印度人把中国视为威胁吗

China has been acting like an expansionist country. It is already a very large country in Asia with 1.5 billion people.

中国的表现一直都像扩张主义国家。中国已经是一个拥有15亿人口的亚洲大国。

China was a huge threat to India. India was leaning on Soviet Union for long for protection. In fact India had a 20 years defense treaty with Soviet Russia. USA was hel Pakistan,to stay close to China and Russia. India got entangled in this Triangle of USA,Russia and China rivalry.

中国对印度是一个巨大的威胁。印度长期以来一直依靠苏联寻求保护。事实上，印度与苏联签署了长达20年的防御条约。美国帮助巴基斯坦与中国和俄罗斯保持密切关系。印度卷入了美国、俄罗斯和中国的三角对抗中。

After a very long time USA realized that India is a reliable neutral country. Yet it had wasted a lot of money on Pakistan.

很长一段时间后，美国意识到印度是一个可靠的中立国家。然而，它却在巴基斯坦身上浪费了大量资金。

Pakistan has been warring with India since it’s independence. China supports Pakistan only to irritate/hurt India.

巴基斯坦自独立以来一直与印度交战。中国支持巴基斯坦只会激怒/伤害印度。

India feared China’s unpredictable and cunning attitude. China continues to encircle India.The recent 40 billion aid to Pakistan was aimed at staying close to India. It has another agenda too. It wants to keep USA at bay. China’s open international policy is to treat enemy’s friend as enemy and enemy’s enemy as it’s friend. Pakistan continues to enjoy this benefit from China and India suffered as enemy of China.

印度害怕中国难以揣测和狡猾的态度。中国继续包围印度。最近向巴基斯坦提供的400亿美元援助就旨在紧跟印度。它还有另一个计划。它想要阻止美国。中国的对外开放政策是把敌人的朋友当作敌人，把敌人的敌人当作朋友。巴基斯坦继续从中国获益，而印度作为中国的敌人受到了伤害。

There is a great change in Chinese strategy now. China now enjoys a very cordial relationship with Russia as USA is trying to contain China’s dominance on Indian ocean and south China sea.

现在中国的战略有了很大的变化。随着美国试图遏制中国在印度洋和南中国海的主导地位，中国目前与俄罗斯的关系非常友好。

Fortunately India is not vulnerable like it was in 1960s . India is now a full fledged nuclear power and grown militarily stronger. India can retaliate suitably if any country declares war on it. China knows well about this. China will not war with India in the near future. But it will help Pakistan to trouble India. China does not wish India to grow stronger. China does not wish any one competing with it from Asia. It is not friendly with any progressive nation like South Korea, Japan, India,and Philippines, It has a superiority complex.

幸运的是，印度已经不像上世纪60年代那样脆弱了。印度现在是一个完全成熟的核大国，在军事上变得更加强大。如果任何国家向印度宣战，印度可以实施报复。中国对此非常了解。近期中国不会与印度开战。但中国会帮助巴基斯坦找印度的麻烦。中国不希望印度变得更强大。中国不希望任何国家与它竞争。它与韩国、日本、印度和菲律宾等任何进步的国家都不友好，它总有一种优越感。

India sees a permanent twin threat from China and Pakistan though it could lead to a global war. China has toned down it’s aggressive posture but it is expanding it’s clutches over international waters.

I don’t think the average Indian citizen feels any threat from China. India’s government might see them as a slight threat but understands that China would be facing a soon-to-be-larger population. Of course both India and China posses nuclear weapons, so a full scale attack would be unwise.

In view of the past experience on boarder violation we in India always consider China a threat, but I doubt our preparations to meet the same are enough.
