some places in Shanghai, near Marriott hotel, less than a km away, total slum. Some places in ningbo. It smells like shit some places, people do dishes on the road, chickens run around and shit on the streets, apartments have a million cords and walls covered in sot and what not. Most of the big cities are very lovely, but like all countries on earth some places are downright disgusting :) unless you like the smell of shit and old urine.

was in Istanbul last year. Stone roads are old and uneven. Streets are narrow built Ottoman time for horses. Everyone smokes there, cigarette butts everywhere.
Very historic, big stones like Italy. Istanbul is a big city, over 15 millions people. The Tower, Blue Mosque....The people are nice to Chinese.

Some streets in Istanbul are like slums and cannot even compare to a medium-sized city in China. What a shame. I went to Istanbul in November. I can't believe it that it is the most famous and modern city in Turkey.
