A survivor of crashed Azerbaijan Airlines flight managed to record footage from inside the cabin on Wednesday. The Azerbaijan Airlines plane with 62 passengers and five crew on board crashed in Kazakhstan.

Kazakh authorities announced that 32 survivors were rescued from the site.

Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 had flown hundreds of miles off its scheduled route to crash on the opposite shore of the Caspian Sea, after what Russia's aviation watchdog said was an emergency that may have been caused by a bird strike.

Doesn't look like a bird strike to me. Looks like hydraulic failure which meant the crew couldn't control the ailerons and elevator to bank the aircraft left/right or pitch up/down, so they added or removed engine thrust, one engine at a time, to make the aircraft bank. There's only so much that can do though hence the crash landing. Now what could make them lose their hydraulics? A Russian missile.

It is clear he was nose diving the plane to gain speed to keep it afloat long enough probably to reach the airport but couldn't stabilise the plane at the very end to make a safe landing. What a shame.
