The 184-kilometer-long Beiing-Yuxan Expressway opened on December 30, connecting Beiing's Mentougou District to Nuanquan Town in Hebei's Yuxan County. As the only westward highway linking Beiing to Hebei, it reduces travel time from Beiing's west sixth ring road to Yuxan County from three hours to two and from three hours to just one hour for travel to Zhuolu County. The expressway, which connects with the Hunyuan-Guangling Expressway in Shanx Province, is expected to ease traffic in northwest and southwest Beiing

京蔚高速公路全长184公里，于12月30日开通，连接北京门头沟区和河北省蔚县暖泉镇。作为连接北京和河北的唯一一条西向高速公路，它将北京西六环路到蔚县的旅行时间从三个小时缩短到两个小时，把前往涿鹿县的时间从三小时缩短到一个小时。这条高速公路与山西省的浑源至广陵高速公路相连，预计缓解北京西北部和西南部的交通压力

京蔚高速起自北京市西六环，向西经北京市门头沟区、张家口市涿鹿县及蔚县，止于蔚县暖泉镇冀晋界，与广源高速相接，路线全长约184公里。其中，北京段约65.4公里，全线位于北京市门头沟区，起于北京市西六环军庄立交，向西终于北京市界，与张涿高速相接；河北段约118.5公里，由张涿高速与国道109新线高速连通工程、张涿高速主线至卧佛寺段、太行山高速京蔚段、张石高速公路蔚县支线组成。
