I don't know about living in China but I can tell you it is suffocating living in Australia. So many angry people especially on the roads and they tend to blame everything on the Chinese.

Air quality is fine in China, the government has tackled the air and water pollution issues quite successfully with EV, renewable energy power plant, upgraded industrial equipment with much lower emissions rate and wastewater treatment technology. China is not Indian. It has changed from polluted country to a leading power of renewable technology.

I was in China in 2003. Seeing people working in restaurants for 18 hours and slee on the tables, it was clear to me that we had to be more efficient to be able to compete. Lived in China from 2011 until 2022. Still live in Asia. Would retire there if I could. Great experience
