If the F-22 couldn’t take down a balloon at the same altitude, it wouldn’t pose a threat to the J-36.

Honestly speaking, I hope China military tech would surpass that for as long as possible not because I am ethnic China but due to pragmatism. I know China history and they are know not to be ambitious land grabbers. But I also know US and the western power history. Their ancestors come from Roman , Greek culture and Viking culture.So this inborn trait of expansion is still visible in their descendants. Only by being stronger can countries prevent America from expansionism.
