yesterday I just took a subway in NYC, everyone stood alongside the wall, afraid of being pushed off to the train track. I was scared too! Especially with my family, I gotta grab my 4 year old son’s hand real tight when we walked through the platform, and my wife followed me real close.

@ China is a socialist country with Chinese characteristics, which means it’s not the western defined socialism, it’s the Chinese unique socialism. I think the western capitalism comes to an intersection that it really needs to expand more to get more resources to be able to fulfill its own need. I'm Malaysian but I was brought up in England in the 1970s and I have British relatives and now work matters, so I come back every few years to visit. It's so sad how Britain has been declining over the decades from the wonderful land I grew up in.

I just visited nyc months ago and also went to Dallas for nba games for a total 3weeks … usa is no longer a dream land I wish I be in . Imagine two streets away from the metro , all I see were dirty alleys, wanderers on streets begging for money .. how suppose a first world country to be that way ???? Exactly how I felt coming back to Chicago from China last week. In China, most everyone was driving an EV and there were hardly any gas stations. In the US, everyone is haggling over gas prices. In China, the subways are clean, safe, and transport people in bullet trains. In Chicago, the subways are filthy, rickety, and you're lucky if you don't catch a bullet.

The UK is one of the most expensive countries to live, especially in a city like London. Yet, the amenities and infrastructure are old and inadequate. The government lacks money, and each government taxes you like hell, but the money is squandered with little to show.

I don't understand why it is still in the G7. G7 should be disbanded because it is meaningless. It is not an economic organisation but a political organisation led by the US to suppress other nations.

I feel the same way when I return to the UK from Japan. I’m going back this summer so at least it won’t be as grey and dark as Christmas. Have to stay with my parents,even though I am 51, to make it anywhere near affordable.

I do have to say though that I moved to China from Japan in 2011 and I spent 7 years complaining about China. Lo and behold, I ended up back in Japan, which is my happy place.

Although I'm not Chinese, I've travelled to many places in China. Their natural landscapes, infrastructure, cleanliness, and overall development are incredibly advanced compared to many parts of the world. Unfortunately, when people like you try to share an accurate portrayal of what China has to offer, there will always be some who prefer to stay in their own bubble, unwilling to explore the world, and dismissing it as propaganda, while insulting China as a third-world country.

I visited china briefly last year. From my perspective what we are fed about China is so untrue, it’s a fantastic place. You completely highlighted how depressing the uk has become. You must be absolutely shocked at our decline. My wife is from Hong Kong and our plan now is to retire in China in the next 10 years. To any disbelieving people, go visit China for yourself and make your own informed decision.
