Several people were injured in a stampede at the Sangam on Wednesday during the ongoing Maha Kumbh, as a massive crowd of pilgrims gathered for the holy dip on Mauni Amavasya, officials reported. Akanksha Rana, Officer on Special Duty for the Mela, stated, "Some people have been injured and hospitalised after a barrier collapsed at the Sangam. We are still working to determine the exact number of those hurt."

Do you remember ? Last year, 121 people DIED (mostly women and children) in a stampede in Hathras , Uttar Pradesh during a crowded satsang. The fraud baba was not even arrested . Media did not dare to ask any questions. The news quickly disappeared . If it had occurred in West Bengal it would have been front page news and prime time debates for weeks.
