Just like there are prefixes and suffixes in English, Chinese characters are not entirely random, once you get a hold of it. And the common ones you need for daily communication is far less than 50, 000.

Besides, I think I can manage with the 50, 000 Chinese character just fine since you can with those all 26 of English letters. Thank you for your concern though.

The “ugly primitive” system of writing is so tiresome that we copied it and it’s increasingly taking over our stupid, ugly primitive alphabetical system. The Chinese invented emojis 5000 years before us. I-Chinese characters form a truly universal way of writing that is independent from the way of speaking. Wenzi is different from character. Characters is highly related with pronouncation. The real Chinese characters is katakana, which is still used by Japan. Chinese characters was replace by English characters. And that was call pinyin, that can help us learn to pronounce a wenzi.

Wenzi isn't limit by pronunciation. A same wenzi can be pronounced by anyway. That's why Vietnam and Japan can use Chinese wenzi with totally different language. Once upon a time in Tigris and Euphrates, Babylomian wenzi was used by the different language. But that was lost now, no one is using that.

More important, wenzi will not lost too much meaning with the pronunciation change. If we only use character rather than wenzi, maybe it will be really hard to read a book from 2000 years ago. As the result of some research, Chinese pronunciation has changed a lot from 1000 years ago. The difference between that is like the difference between mandarin with Cantonese. But we can still read and partly understand the wenzi from 3000 years ago.

One advantage of Chinese is that whenever something new is invented, simply arrange these Chinese characters into short new words, without creating a new long word like the Latin system. No, not really. I practice in that ugly Chinese calligraphy but never have interest to practice in your beautiful Roman/Cyrillic/Korean/Kana. I think writing the same letter with fixed style over and over again is not healthy for my IQ.

Meanwhile in Chinese calligraphy I can write Characters both in pen and brush, I can also write different style of characters in the same type of script, for example there are thousands of styles to write cursive, thousands of styles to write regular scrip, thousands of styles to write seal script.
