Chinese Warships Are Spotted Off Australia Coast in Rare Sighting

Three Chinese warships have been spotted in international waters off the coast of Sydney, likely testing diplomatic ties between Canberra and Beiing. Bloomberg's Ben Westcott reports.

Thats because the south China sea is a global ship route.
China's territorial waters are from the shoreline to 12 miles out to sea, not the whole south China's sea as they claim.
Those Chinese ships off our east coast are a long way from home, they have no real reason to be that close, where they are is not a major ship route or channel.
They are allowed to be there and there are reasons why ADF are monitoring them.

And if they were off US, UK, Russian, Canada, Norway, Ooga Booga Land or any other coastline they would be monitored by those countries too whether they were in international waters or not.

Thats only 3 reasons why they are being monitored and there is no international law to say they can't be monitored.

As an Aussie living in Sydney, I cannot stand this type of hypocrisy and double standards. When Australia, Canada and US does that near China, it is called freedom of navigation, when China does that, its a threat. Don't do what you don't want others to do to you! It is that simple! Ff sake!

Australia is totally unprepared for any sort of aggressive attack. There are no nuclear bomb shelters or shelters of any kind , no back up fuel or food systems, only an occasional Army or Navy Base, no back up power systems or transport and having rudimentary emergency hospital systems. Investment in drone technology seems a much cheaper and better alternative to a nuclear submarine costing a fortune sometime in the future that will be probably obsolete by the time it arrives.
