It should be either added into the food price like Europe or should really depend on the service received to decide how much tips to give. And why only tip at restaurants, tax, hair salons? I work as a receptionist, hel customers, solve problems etc, why I don’t get tips? My pay is minimum wage too!

I had just a simple cut when I first moved here a few years ago at just a random mall salon and they couldn’t understand why my hair wasn’t straight after they washed it (my natural hair is curly) Around 4 hairdressers crowded around me to touch it They then dried it with a hairdryer with no styling and it was a frizzy mess. Now I’m too scared to go back and just get my husband to chop at it instead

Your hair and nails look fabulous. I got my hair done in Shenzhen, bleached, highlight and cut, 3 hours, back in June 2024 for 600yuan. It was a very small and super busy salon where when I left my chair for a wash, I came back to a different chair I wasn’t offered a drink nor fruits, so not a 5 star like yours! It’s well worth the money though as I still have my highlights (Feb. 2025).

My daughter had her hair dyed in chiba she's half Chinese so her hair is dark she had silver coloured hair and it took 5 hours, inside a shop mall and she said it was really aqward having your hair washed aswell it was the same thing as you lying down but her hair looked amazing and smelt beautiful, reamnes hair looks lovely and her nails.

Unless a hair dresser or barber has cut the type of hair you have, many times, it's generally risky to go to them. To play it safe, I tend to go to barbers that have cut hair like mine... black, straight and thicker. Cutting is short so sections on the top don't stick up, yet thng the volume on top and blending the short side nicely is an art.
