China poses the top threat to American interests and security globally and is making "steady" progress towards having the ability to seize the self-ruled island , an annual US intelligence report warned Tuesday.

Beiing's "coercive pressure" and "wide-ranging cyber operations against US targets" were indicators of its growing threat to US national security, said the Annual Threat Assessment by the intelligence community.

"China presents the most comprehensive and robust military threat to US national security," the report said.

周二，一份美国年度情报报告警告称，中国在全球范围内对美国的利益和安全构成最大威胁，且在获取武统台湾的能力方面正取得“稳步”进展。

美国情报界的年度威胁评估报告称，中方的“胁迫压力”以及“针对美国目标的广泛网络行动”，是其对美国国家安全构成日益增长威胁的迹象。

The report provides an overview of the collective insights of top US intelligence agencies about the security threats to the US posed by foreign nations and criminal organizations.

It warned that Beiing would keep expanding its "coercive and subversive malign influence activities" to weaken the US internally and globally.

该报告概述了美国顶尖情报机构对外国和犯罪组织给美国带来的安全威胁的集体看法。

报告警告称，中方将继续扩大其“胁迫性和颠覆性的恶意影响活动”，从内部和全球范围削弱美国。
